Intervention

Youth and Adolescents Services (YAS)

Designed for students ages 6-17, this program teaches young people and their families how to change behaviors that result in negative consequences. They learn the risks of using drugs and positive alternatives to cope with peer pressure and the challenges of growing up.

Pre-Trial Intervention (PTI)

Certain nonviolent criminal offenders are given a “second chance” because this program intervenes before their cases go to trial. In some instances, offenders are kept out of the criminal justice system and placed into a program of victim restitution, counseling and guidance.

Offender-Based Intervention (OBI)

This program provides substance abuse education and treatment for people who have been convicted of alcohol and/or other drug related offenses, and/or multiple DUI offenses. Referrals for this program come from the courts as a special condition of a sentence or through legal or law enforcement professionals.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Employees of Clarendon County businesses and industries can receive counseling services in the areas of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug abuse, marital problems, emotional stress, and other difficult life events. Drug screening services are also available.
