Scope of Services

Clarendon Behavioral Health Services serves the residents of Clarendon County and referrals from other areas when appropriate. Our agency is located in Manning but clients are also seen throughout the county in schools, and hospitals. When agency funding and staff coverage allow, clients can be seen in the home. Our hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm and Tuesday and Thursday 8:00 am – 8:00 pm.

Clients can be self-referred or referred by another agency/facility, family member or an Employee Assistance Program. Services provided include screening, assessment, individual counseling, family therapy, group counseling, crisis management, rehabilitative-psycho-social services, service plan development and substance abuse counseling. The agency also provides Screening Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) services as well as Medicaid Targeted Case Management (MTCM) services. Adolescents 18 years or older are also provided SBIRT and MTCM services, if they have Medicaid. There are also services available to address anger management, nicotine dependence, and gambling. Additionally, CBHS provides drug testing for individuals, the courts, local agencies and many employers in the community. A referral is made with a client needs services that are not provided at our agency. The frequency of services for each client depends on the needs of that individual based on the clinical assessment and ASAM scores. There may also be specific requirements depending on the program referring the client.

Fees are based on income and/or specific program requirements. We accept cash, checks, some insurance plans, Medicaid, payment by EAP, and in some cases community service. Some referral sources provide funding for client services.

It is the practice of Clarendon Behavioral Health Services to make clients, their families and/or significant others, community agencies, local support groups systems, payer sources. stakeholders and the general public aware of our scope of services through our website, brochures, newsletters and speaking engagements. Staff reviews the scope of services annually to ensure that agency information remains up to date and accurate.
